 +====== Using ProductCart with SubscriptionBridge ======
 +
 +The following sections contain information for ProductCart users who want to use SubscriptionBridge with their shopping cart. SubscriptionBridge is built into ProductCart v4.1 and above (no installation of separate files is required).
 +
 +For an overview of the [[http://www.earlyimpact.com/productcart/recurring-billing.asp|recurring billing features in our shopping cart]] that become available when the SubscriptionBridge integration is activated, please see the ProductCart Web site at http://www.earlyimpact.com/productcart/recurring-billing.asp
 +
 +===== Shipping =====
 +
 +A linked subscription package will obey all the ProductCart level settings for shipping.  The shipping settings in your SB Merchant Center will not apply.  So if your subscription product is marked "No Shipping" then no shipping options will be offered at checkout.  If your subscription product is shippable then all applicable shipping methods will be dispayed during checkout.  In other words, subscription products work exactly the same as normal products as far as shipping is concerned.
 +
 +There are, however, some limitations as follows:
 +  * Authorize.net users will find that Authorize.net combines the shipping, tax, and recurring billing total.  There is no separation between items in the orders.  Authorize.net is only capable of having one total for each subscription.
 +  * Once a shipping total is calculated for a trial, then the same shipping amount will be applied once the trial expires.
 +
 +
 +===== Tax =====
 +
 +Tax, the same as shipping, is calculated by ProductCart.  The tax settings in your SB Merchant Center will not apply. There is no difference between regular products and subscription products in terms of tax.  Tax is calculated separately for the trial price and recurring price.
 +
 +There are, however, some limitations as follows:
 +  * Authorize.net users will find that Authorize.net combines the shipping, tax, and recurring billing total.  There is no separation between items in the orders.  Authorize.net is only capable of having one total for each subscription.
 +
 +
 +===== Discounts =====
 +
 +All coupons and gift certificates applied during checkout are applied to the current cart total.  If the current cart total is a trial the discounts will reoccur throughout the life of the trial.  If the current cart total is not a trial the discounted total will be the official subscription total and will reoccur at each billing cycle.
